Questions.
And straight answers.
What exactly is VoidCord?
A collection of plugins and themes for the official Discord desktop app, built on Vencord. The installer adds it to Discord Stable, PTB or Canary; Discord itself stays the official app.
Is my account safe?
VoidCord runs inside the official Discord app and never asks for your password or token. Your account is as safe as with Vencord – as long as you stay away from plugins marked “Higher ToS risk” if you don't want that risk. More about risk levels
Will I get banned?
There are no known bans just for using a client mod. Bans come from behavior – bot-like automation, spam, faking things towards Discord. Read the honest answer
Do my Vencord plugins and settings keep working?
Yes. VoidCord is built on Vencord, so all of Vencord's built-in plugins are there, and your Vencord settings are kept when you install it.
How do I uninstall it?
Open the installer again, check the Discords and click Uninstall. Discord is back to normal after the restart.
Does it work on macOS, Linux or my phone?
Not yet. VoidCord is Windows only (Windows 10 and 11). Mobile apps can't be modded this way.
Windows warns me about the installer. Why?
The installer isn't code-signed – that costs money every year – so SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway. Or build it yourself from the source on GitHub.
Does it make Discord slower?
Every plugin you turn on costs a little start time and memory. A few plugins are barely noticeable; dozens are. See what we measured
Does it cost anything?
No. VoidCord is free and open source under the GPL-3.0 license, just like Vencord.
